Jacó beach and Playa Hermosa beach are legendary spots in the surfing world. Many professional and amateur surfers call them home.

You and anyone can also easily join the ranks of the surfer army by taking a two-hour level 1 lesson on the gentle yet consistent south side of Jaco beach.

For those surfers with experience and skill, Hermosa beach’s break will consistently provide an exciting time.

STANDARD Surf Lessons – Level 1

DURATION – 2 hrs
INSTRUCTOR RATIO – 2 students / 1 instructor
LEVEL – BEGINNER
INCLUDES – SURFBOARD, RASHGUARD (SURFSUIT), TRANSPORTATION (Jacó and Hermosa)
THINGS TO BRING – SUNBLOCK AND COMFORTABLE BOTTOMWEAR

Having never surfed before; no knowledge of surfing or the equipment to – having had 1 or 2 lessons in the past with basic knowledge of the surfboard and basic knowledge of lying and paddling a surf board.

On this beginner lesson introduce surfing fundamentals, etiquette, safety, wave dynamics, paddling skills, surfboard positioning, maneuvering, proper stand-up and riding techniques. It includes surf board, rashguard and transportation.

Professional Photography may be added to the lesson for an extra charge.

PRIVATE Surf Instruction

DURATION – 2 hrs
INSTRUCTOR RATIO – 1 students / 1 instructor
LEVEL – BEGINNER- INTERMEDIATE- ADVANCED
Note: CHILDREN UNDER 10 years of age must take this lesson.

For those who want one-on-one surf instruction from Master Instructors. These sessions are highly recommended for students who want to bring their surfing to the next level at faster pace or require that extra level of attention.

For beginners: introduction of surfing fundamentals, etiquette, safety, wave dynamics, paddling skills, surfboard positioning and proper stand-up.

For advanced levels: introduction of higher levels of maneuvering and overall dynamics of advanced surfing.

Come discover the thrill of Stand Up Paddling! Stand Up Paddleboarding (or SUP) is the fastest growing water sport in the world for good reason – it’s incredibly fun and easy to learn. Lessons are led by a team of the friendliest and most experienced instructors in the Central Costa Rica Region, without exception.

We’ll provide you with a stand up paddleboard, paddle, and the patient, friendly and professional instruction that will have you loving the sport in no time.

The class will paddle the waters of the either Jaco,Herradura, or Mantas beaches, enjoying gorgeous views and local wildlife.

Instructors will cover all the basics you need: proper stance, paddling technique, turning and more. And not only is SUP a great experience, it’s also an excellent core workout!
