Welcome home to paradise at Casa Barracuda! This gorgeous vacation rental house with panoramic ocean and beach views, private pool, located on Playa Hermosa's beach road, oversees the beautiful beach and Pacific Ocean from only 30 feet away. The house is a mere shell's toss away from the sand and some of the best surf in Costa Rica. Wake up in the morning to the sounds of the waves, inviting you to jump right in with your surfboard. You'll think you're on your own private beach, with only a few surfers scattered about in the waves. The sunsets are breathtaking!

Please note that the house's second floor, is the owner's apartment. This owner's apartment has a separate and independent staircase entry on the side of the house.  He lives there on a semi-permanent basis and would not interfere with your privacy nor would use the pool area while you are there.  He can consider moving out during your stay if you'd rather have more privacy.  Please inquire.

Casa Barracuda vacation rental home is modern, with all amenities such as full air conditioning, wireless high speed internet, dishwasher, washer and dryer.  The architectural style is modern with colonial touches such as Nicaraguan tiles and a yellow pastel color.

Our spacious home has three bedrooms. The Master bedroom has a King size bed, closet and ensuite bathroom with combination shower and tub. The two other bedrooms have one Queen bed and one Twin bed in each, both have their own closets and share a bathroom with shower..

The great room has an open concept with kitchen, dining and living areas. 

The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and most utensils, including a dishwasher. The kitchen is complemented with a breakfast bar with stools and is open to the living and dining area.  The laundry with washer and dryer is right next to the kitchen and can be closed off with a folding curtain if needed.

The glass-top dining table seats up to 8 guests.

The living area has a three-seat couch and a table for up to 8, a flat screen 50" TV with streaming channels and Blu-ray/DVD player. There are two large sliding glass doors that open up to the pool terrace.

Enjoy Casa Barracuda's free-form pool and large covered terrace and a pool deck where you can enjoy the sun and sound of the sea either on a hammock and on plenty of pool chairs.  An outdoor table for four allow for al fresco dining.. Grill that catch of the day or a beautiful steak for dinner on the stainless steel gas grill on the terrace. Soak up the good life!

The palm-tree adorned and manicured front and back yards are so large you can easily play ball in either one.

Playa Hermosa ('Beautiful Beach') is a world famous surfing beach and a beautiful, long stretch of unspoiled beach.  The break is one of the most consistent in Central America, and well known among surfers since it has held international competitions.  The best surfing breaks occur from May to November, time of our best prices too!  If you don’t surf you will enjoy walking on it and swimming on low tide. 

There is an Italian restaurant just a couple of minutes walk south from the house.  Casa Barracuda is only 1.5 kilometers (1 mile) south of the town of Hermosa, a 20-minute leisurely barefoot stroll in the soft sand, where you will find several more restaurants and bars and basic grocery stores.  For more variety you can easily go just 4 miles north (or a 9 minute ride) to the bustling beach town of Jaco, which boasts dozens of restaurants, shops, bars, casinos...you name it! 

You can easily order food and groceries delivered to your door step from most restaurants and stores, or have one of our outstanding chefs cater one or all your meals in the convenience of your home.

Golf and sport fishing are 24 minutes away, at the Los Suenos Resort and Marina.

Down the beach road, you will find a biological reserve that protects the habitat of sea turtles that come to lay their eggs on the beach from July to September.  The eggs then hatch and the small turtles return to the sea from December to February.  This is a spectacle worth seeing once in a lifetime, specially for children.
